Preparations are already underway for the seventh annual Waves & Wishes 5K Run/Walk, presented by the Make-A-Wish Foundation of South Carolina.  The event will take place on Saturday, November 19th, 2011, at the base of the Edwin S. Taylor fishing pier on Folly Beach.  The course is a certified 5K that covers flat and fast roads adjacent to the beach.

Last year we raised more than $35,000 and attracted over 250 participants!  I am pleased to invite you to be a part of this year's event along with the opportunity to partner with the Make-A-Wish Foundation of South Carolina to contribute to the success of Waves & Wishes 2011!

This year, participants are encouraged to set up their own website to collect pledges from family and friends to raise money for the Make-A-Wish Foundation of SC.  It's quick and very easy to do.  To create your website go to http://friends.wish.org/034-000/ and click on the link to the right that says Register for your account.

The person who raises the most money will win a gift certificate to a local restaurant...GOOD LUCK!
